Peterborough City Council are looking for someone who is a good problem solver with an eye for detail. The successful applicant will have great communication skills, be a team player and be able to manage competing priorities. If you know some of the legislation then great, but if not and you demonstrate the skills and abilities we are looking for then the rest can be learnt.

We are seeking a person to work in the Streetworks Team, dealing with the co-ordination of works on the highway network to ensure that the works are managed accurately and efficiently in line with aims of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.

You will process the incoming permit applications in accordance with the legislation and national conditions. The successful applicant will also be responsible for processing of traffic orders and other licence applications as necessary to meet the needs of the team and the co-ordination of works on the highway network. There will also be emails, enquiries and phone calls to deal with. A good knowledge of the Peterborough road network would be an advantage

We are proud to serve the diverse communities of Peterborough and want our workforce to reflect this diversity, which we believe is beneficial for our employees, the organisation and the communities we serve.
