About the Role: As the Emergency Planning Manager, you will lead the operation of the Emergency Planning Team, ensuring the council can respond effectively to major incidents or business disruptions. You will be the senior lead professional in all matters related to emergency planning and business continuity, working closely with senior colleagues and chief officers as part of the multi-agency Local Resilience Forum for Peterborough.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the delivery of the emergency management function, including the development and implementation of emergency and business continuity plans
Coordinate with various organizations to ensure preparedness for emergencies that present a risk to public health
Develop and maintain an integrated approach to resilience, promoting response and recovery capabilities
Oversee the budget for the team, ensuring effective planning and monitoring of all related income and expenditure
Provide strategic advice and guidance on all issues pertaining to emergency planning and business continuity
