Peterborough City Council is looking for a skilled and experienced Team Manager to oversee the work of a vibrant Social Work team leading on adolescent CIN cases. This group of talented and dedicated professionals, work with children, young people and families who are being supported through Child in Need processes and provide intensive services for those at imminent risk of Care.
The post holder will be responsible for managing a service for children at risk of family breakdown, Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE), radicalisation and becoming a Looked After Child.
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate excellent operational knowledge of current legislation and procedures relating to Children’s Services. The post holder will also have a strong understanding of contextual safeguarding and have a proven ability to work with this approach to extra-familial harm.
The outstanding candidate will also have knowledge of Youth Justice and preventive work
and will be working within a management team delivering in these areas. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively manage a high performing team that deliver excellent outcomes for children, young people and families.
The post holder will have substantial experience in Social Care, be registered with Social Work England, and have the ability to work flexibly and creatively. This post is also eligible for a range of benefits including access to a nine-day working fortnight.
