An excellent opportunity has become available for a Youth Offending Team Officer to join our specialist team within the wider Targeted Youth Support Service in Peterborough.

You will be responsible for working with young people aged 10-17 who are in or at risk of entering the youth justice system.

Experience of motivating and engaging young people and families is essential as are excellent written and verbal communication skills as this role requires you to provide thorough assessments and professional reports to a number of agencies including the Court.

You will be an organised and creative individual who is able to make defensible decisions independently but who can also work well to engage with a number of different agencies to effectively assess and develop plans together to meet needs holistically.

You will already have some knowledge of the legislation that underpins the Youth Justice System, and how to effectively safeguard children within national frameworks.

This is a rewarding role, with a real opportunity to support young people and their families achieve sustainable changes and positive futures.
