During the recent HMIP Inspection, Peterborough Youth Offending Team were rated overall Good with features of outstanding practice. The inspection report referred to our “skilled and experienced group of operational staff who are committed to delivering high-quality services”. The inspectorate team described “a powerful sense of purpose within the team and an impressive balance....between the sometimes conflicting demands of meeting children’s needs and managing the risk of harm to others that can result from negative behaviours.” This excellent outcome is testament to the dedication and commitment to young people by the team who continue to set high standards and work to further develop existing areas of practice.

An opportunity has arisen within the Youth Offending Service for a High Risk Officer role. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about supporting young people who pose a high risk to others. The purpose of these sessions are to deliver court ordered appointments with the aim of improving opportunities for young people as well as developing this life skills and decision making, reducing their likelihood of re-offending as a result.

The role requires a driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 22nd February 2023 at Sand Martin House, Peterborough.
