Peterborough City Council is looking for a skilled and experienced Team Manager to oversee the work of a vibrant Youth Justice team. Rated ‘Good’ with ‘Outstanding Features’ in 2020 HMIP Inspection, the Team are looking for a talented manager to join the Service.

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate excellent operational knowledge of current legislation and procedures relating to Youth Justice and Children’s Services. The post holder will also have a strong understanding of contextual safeguarding and have a proven ability to work with this approach to extra-familial harm. The outstanding candidate will also have knowledge of Children’s Social Care, restorative justice and preventative work. They will be working within a management team delivering in these areas. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively manage a high performing team that deliver excellent outcomes for children, young people, and families.

The post holder will have substantial experience in Youth Justice and the ability to work flexibly and creatively. This post is also eligible to access a nine-day working fortnight.
