Delivering high quality services in line with national quality standards, best practice, statutory obligations and organisational objectives, you will provide advice on all aspects of nature conservation policies, ensuring the effective proactive conservation of the natural environment of Peterborough and deliver specialist professional advice within the context of planning applications and planning policy. You will advise on, support and encourage community participation in, the management and promotion of local natural environmental issues, working with land-owners to secure permanent improvements for wildlife habitats.
A Degree in an appropriate environmental/countryside discipline and thorough up-to-date knowledge of appropriate legislation in relationship to Ecology and Planning/development processes are essential. You will also have the ability to read and interpret complex technical/ecological information and landscape/Ordnance Survey plans.
