Further Information
We are looking to recruit a motivated, ambitious, and highly effective individual to join our award winning Trading Standards Service operating across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, and Rutland.

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Trading Standards Service has an excellent opportunity for the right individual to join our dynamic team as a Trading Standards Officer.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a regulatory field, and have demonstrable experience working in partnership with other regulators and organisations. You will need the ability to build rapport with business and consumers to be successful in this post, as well as an ability to use your initiative to problem solve. You will be expected to undertake both proactive and reactive regulatory activities.

Day to day the role will involve investigating regulatory breaches, undertaking inspections, providing legislative advice, undertaking projects and other interventions as directed to promote legislative compliance. From time to time this will include taking part in national, regional and local initiatives and enforcement activities.

The successful candidate will be joining a fast paced, highly effective, and nationally acclaimed Service, with offices in Cambourne and in Peterborough. The council operates flexible working arrangements, where agile working is encouraged, and supported.

Development of staff is something that is important to us, and necessary to maintain competence, and to enable the Service to meet future challenges, consequently a willingness to undertake training is essential.

For an informal discussion please contact Peter Gell on 01733 453419, or Frank Pasfield on 01954 284652.
