Further Information
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Trading Standards Service is looking to recruit a dedicated Intelligence Officer for the team, ensuring Intelligence directs and underpins activities across the Service.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable experience in research and analysis, ideally in the field of law enforcement, and be able to turn that Intelligence into operational direction and support for our criminal investigation activities and proactive project work.

Day to day the role will entail managing, and where necessary enhancing our approach to Intelligence management and utilisation, ensuring robust processes are in place. You will identify and analyse criminal trends and problematic traders across a broad range of market sectors, and develop criminal and problem profiles. You will be responsible for overseeing the use of our Intelligence Database and producing Intelligence reports to lead operational tasking as well as supporting service wide activities.

The post holder will work closely with Intelligence counterparts within other Trading Standards Services in the region.

The successful candidate will be joining a fast paced, highly effective and nationally acclaimed Service working across both Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The Service has offices in Cambourne and in Peterborough, and operates flexible working arrangements, where agile working is encouraged.

If you feel you have the attributes, skills and drive to be successful in the post but do not have an Intelligence background we would consider an apprenticeship/ trainee position for the right candidate.
