Further Information
It is an exciting time to be joining Peterborough’s new Targeted Youth Support Service (TYSS). We are seeking a qualified Social Worker with a range of experience who is passionate and committed to providing specialist support to young people and their families.

The Targeted Youth Support Service (TYSS) is a new and innovative service focused on offering a range of specialist services to young people aged 13-18 and their families who are in need of additional support. This involves carrying out assessments for young people identified as Child in Need and working in partnership with other agencies to ensure the appropriate provision of services to enable these young people to reach their full potential and to avoid the need for escalation to child protection or care proceeding For young people at imminent risk of care the team will provide intensive family support to enable young people to remain at home and to avoid young people from entering the care system.

We are a skilled and experienced team who are passionate about making a difference to young people and working creatively and in partnership with adolescents and their families. We are looking for a further qualified social worker with a range of experience to complete our team and to be part of this exciting new service. You will need experience of managing a complex case load, the ability to engage with both challenging and rewarding young people and families, and be committed to working in this specialist area.

Working in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies from Peterborough you will be committed to making a significant contribution to young people who are experiencing a range of difficulties and working effectively with them to secure better outcomes. You will work directly with young people who are at risk of family breakdown, homelessness, being exploited, substance misuse, domestic violence, offending and many other significant issues. If you would like to make a difference to the lives of these young people and feel you have the skills to do so please contact Kirstie Lloyd-Uzoegbu, TYSS Intensive Service Manager, for further information on 07920 160234.
