The Targeted Youth Support Service are looking for a skilled and experienced Team Manager to oversea and develop a newly designed Youth and Family Service that will work with young people who are Child in Need and provide intensive services for those at imminent risk of care. The post holder will be responsible for managing a service for young people at risk of family breakdown, child sexual exploitation, child criminal exploitation, radicalisation and becoming a child in care.
As a Team Manager you will be responsible for overseeing a team of Social Workers delivering services for young people and their families/carers and will be part of a management team leading on ensuring that Peterborough’s vulnerable adolescents are protected from significant harm, can better manage the risks they face and enhance their life chances.
The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent operational knowledge of the current legislation, procedures and guidance relating to social care services for young people. You will also need to work as part of a wider management team delivering youth justice and early help services. You will need to be able to demonstrate that you can effectively manage a high performing team that delivers excellent outcomes for young people.
You must poses substantial experience in Social Care and hold a professional Social Work Qualification and have the ability to think and work flexibly and creatively.
