Peterborough City Council are launching a Permit Scheme for Road Works and Street Works and are seeking an enthusiastic individual to work as a Streetworks Inspector within the Network and Traffic Management Team. The team oversees various forms of activities on the highway, including street works, road works, road closures, skips and scaffolding licences.

The role is to assist in the enforcement of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA), Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA) and the Peterborough Permit Scheme for Road Works and Street Works under Part 3 of TMA; to undertake inspections, monitoring and ensure compliance with the statutory requirements along with the Council’s policies and operational plans. The post holders will be required to maintain excellent working relationship with third parties engaged in the planning and execution of street works

The successful applicant will be predominantly site based but must able to attend offices in both Peterborough and Huntingdon. Candidates must have a full driving licence.
