Peterborough City Council are seeking a person to lead and manage the Streetworks Team, dealing with the co-ordination of works on the highway network to ensure the works are managed accurately and efficiently in line with aims of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004. You will be required to liaise with Utility Companies, Internal Works Promoters and Third Parties concerning works and diversionary routes on the Peterborough Highway Network.
Peterborough operate a Permit Scheme for Roadworks and Streetworks in accordance with the legislation and national conditions. The successful applicant will also be responsible for the implementation and processing of traffic orders and other licence applications as necessary to meet the needs of the team and the co-ordination of works on the highway network.
The successful applicant must be able to work in both Peterborough and Huntingdon
