Further Information
Do you want to develop your knowledge and skills in safeguarding adults?

MASH provides a safeguarding triage function for all safeguarding concerns and as a MASH social worker you will be responsible for triaging concerns based on the level of risk, undertaking information gathering and deciding what the next course of action will be.

You will need to provide a response which is preventative by signposting to relevant organisations or conduct (or instruct others to conduct) enquiries under section 42 of the Care Act. MASH works closely with its partner agencies in the spirit of the Care Act to share information with the aim of providing the highest quality of response to adults at risk.

MASH is committed to making safeguarding personal and this involves engaging with the adult at risk, or their advocate to agree a way forward which follows the six key principles of s42 enquires under the Care Act. We work with some high-risk situations but never in isolation, so you will always be supported.

The person we are looking for will.

• Be a registered social worker and have completed your AYSE.
• Have a willingness to develop an in-depth knowledge of the Care Act and be able to apply it in practice.
• A desire to develop advanced communication skills both written and verbal.
• Demonstrate an understanding of risk management.
• Have an understanding of MCA and DOLs.
• Demonstrate a commitment to learning and development.

In return we can offer you:

Competitive Salary
Generous Annual Leave
Agile Working
Excellent Pension Scheme
