As a 0 to 25 Disability Service our client group is disabled children and their families and those young people requiring support to transition into early adulthood and adult services as appropriate.

The service operates as one service of two teams; a 0 to 18 team and a transitions team for 14 to 25 with some cross over between teams.

The social work is varied and diverse incorporating all the main areas of social work intervention for Child in Need, Child Protection and Safeguarding, Child Looked After and Permanency Planning.

There is the opportunity for some social workers developing the knowledge and skills to manage case work of both children and young adults.

We are looking for an experienced social worker to work with the 0 to 18 cohort.
Experienced social workers who have an interest in or experience of working with disabled children and young people are encouraged to apply for the opportunity to work in this developing service area in a supportive and friendly team.

The successful candidate will have good communication skills, a proven ability in multi-agency working and a passion for enabling disabled children and young people to achieve their potential.
