Peterborough Children’s services are launching their new innovative Social Work Academy

The Social Work Academy will support Newly Qualified Social Workers and International Social Workers to hold a time limited reduced caseload, to enable them to transition to their allocated social work teams fully supported to be skilled and confident practitioners. The Academy will also support the implementation and embedding of our practice model and facilitate service wide learning and development.

We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to support our newly qualified social workers and international social workers whilst based in the Social Work Academy. You will be co-allocated work with our NQSW to support their professional confidence and development with social work that requires statutory intervention, or to help think and plan assessment and intervention that may require more complex analysis.

You must be passionate about improving outcomes for children and enjoy sharing your knowledge to support newly qualified social workers. You will be a reflective practitioner, with a value base of working relationally within a safeguarding context.
