All about the Role
Our Children with Disabilities Team is recruiting a Part Time Social Worker, for our growing and developing service. We are seeking a Social Worker who is eager to progress and be part of a service that is dedicated to providing the best outcomes for Children with Disabilities and their Families within the diverse area of Peterborough.
Do you want easy access to complementary teams and services, ideally co-located in the same building, to make collaborative work much easier — at Peterborough the Housing Departments, Children’s Social Care Teams, Adult Social Care, Commissioning, Legal and other teams are all easily accessed within a purpose-built office, which benefits from large river and green space views and a city centre location that is also close to main road and rail transport links.
This is a part time 22.2 hour role.

All about You
- You have current registration with Social Work England
- You are a diligent and detail oriented individual.
- You are experienced while still being willing to learn new things and maintain your own continuing professional development.
- You have the willingness and ability to travel between locations.
- You have an in depth knowledge of the legal and policy frameworks and guidance that inform and mandate social work practice in Children’s Social Care.

This is an opportunity for you to be part of a dynamic team who supports families from the first point of contact, all the way through to adulthood, Referrals and Assessments, Children in Need, Looked after Children, Child Protection and cases within the court arena are all part of our day to day practice.
Our team regularly undertakes safeguarding enquiries and court work and also supports a number of children who are Looked After. We work very closely with our partner agencies in education and health services.
Employee well-being, development and supervision are prioritised within our service. Our team works within a hybrid model that enables working from home as well as being based at Sand Martin House, Peterborough.
