We are looking for a full time Senior Practitioner to join our Fostering Supervision and Support Team. A friendly, hardworking, and dedicated team which offer a supportive work environment.
We are keen to hear from you if you share our enthusiasm and commitment for Fostering. You will be supported by an experienced, permanent manager and knowledgeable staff team to drive forward our vision together.
You will have a passion for developing positive professional relationships with foster carers and the children they care for; providing them with regular supervision and support to empower them in their fostering role. The role of a supervising senior practitioner is unique in providing the opportunity to build professional relationships with fostering families, the children, and young people they care for and all the professionals involved in supporting the care arrangements.
As a senior practitioner you would provide support and guidance to less experienced staff members, hold more complex caseloads and support the team manager with managerial type work as required. There is the opportunity to develop an area of practice where you have a specific interest.
You will be required to participate in the Foster Carer’s Support Line, an out of hours telephone helpdesk, providing essential guidance and advice to the Fostering Community in Peterborough. You will be on duty approximately once every ten weeks and an additional allowance will be paid for this
