Peterborough City Council Children's Social Care has a great opportunity for a social worker at a senior practitioner grade to lead on the permanency work.

As a permanency lead you will be working to deliver best practice in our social care teams, playing a major role in ensuring permanency outcomes for children. This role is non case holding but co-producing permanency work with the child's allocated case worker, such as the CPR, adoption/SGO planning and quality assuring all work to present the case for an ADM decision.

This role provides an opportunity for an experienced social worker with a high level of expertise in permanency work for children looked after who can shape children's social work practice and can develop innovative service delivery.
You will be supported and encouraged to apply theory and research in front-line practice around permanency, building on a strong track record of current practice within the service.

You need to be self-motivated, committed, can impart learning to others and passionate. Your skills will be to enable, develop and support others as well as being a role model for good social work practice, ensuring the very best outcomes for children in Peterborough.

Candidates must hold a degree level qualification in social work with evidence of continued professional development.

Salary will be paid according to skills and experience.

An enhanced DBS check is required.
