We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated team member to provide development control advice within the Highway Control Team.
Duties will include; providing highway advice in response to statutory consultations in respect of planning applications and pre-planning applications including assessment of transportation assessments and requests for highway infrastructure, undertaking detailed technical assessment of development related highway works (under S38 & S278 of the Highways Act 1980) and preparing statements of evidence in respect of transportation aspects of planning appeals.
You must have the ability to analyse issues and identify options, be computer literate with the ability to adapt to various software packages, have demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills, able to work under pressure, use own initiative and most importantly, be able to work as a member of a team.
