Cambridgeshire County Council are looking to appoint a Senior Commissioner to our growing Adult Social Care Commissioning team. Working across Peterborough and Cambridgeshire, you will lead a team of commissioners in delivering a range of early intervention and prevention (EIP) commissioning plans to support more people to remain independent and healthy for longer. Travel will be required across the county and supported by flexible and agile working practices.

As Senior Commissioner your responsibilities will include:

- Leading on the delivery of a range of commissioning intentions within an early intervention and prevention portfolio, contributing to a delay or reduction in demand for adult social care
- Establish a best practice approach to commissioning, ensuring quality, value for money and effective market development
- Managing a team of commissioners, working with stakeholders of all kinds, to operationalise and continuously improve EIP commissioned provision

About you:

- Substantial commissioning knowledge and skills with a strong track record in the delivery of complex commissioning projects and service transformation within an equally complex, provider market environment
- A proven strategic thinker, successfully navigating organisational boundaries to deliver major change and development
- An experienced leader of people, with a proven ability for developing and motivating others
- Significant knowledge and understanding of adult social care legislation, preventative services and challenges facing the sector
