Peterborough City Council is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Children and Young People Directorate Finance Team to cover maternity leave.

The post holder will provide Accountancy support and challenge to Children’s Social Care operational Teams and will play a key role in the monitoring of forecasting of Children’s Social Care and Education placements.

You will be experienced in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing information clearly and logically and will possess excellent knowledge of ICT packages. You will be a competent Excel user and be able to analyse large and complex data sets. You will possess good communication skills, both written and verbal with a proven ability to communicate with both finance and non-finance staff.
