We are looking to appoint a committed and highly-motivated practitioner with at least 3 years experience in the part-time role of SEN Lead - Preparation for adulthood and Post 16. This new role will be an integral part of the Peterborough SEN & Inclusion Service, a Local Authority centrally based team who support children and young people , schools and families within Peterborough.
The successful candidate will be supporting Services to successfully plan, implement and evaluate change for our young adult cohorts and contribute to the Preparing for Adulthood strategy in the area.
The post will require close internal multi-professional partnership working with other SENI colleagues in the Education Psychology Service, Autism Outreach Service, Portage, Statutory Assessment, Specialist Teaching Service and Monitoring Service and Partner Partnership Service. Additionally the role will entail developing and maintaining positive links and professional working relationships with a diverse range of external stakeholders including Health and Social Care.
Peterborough City Council is a small unitary authority. The Service is based in a central Peterborough location with technology resources to support agile working.
