Further Information
We are looking for someone who will influence and shape the operational delivery of our newly formed Regional Adoption Agency and support its transformation.
The new Regional Adoption Agency (RAA), created to help further improve the adoption process, is a joint venture between Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council. This provides a real opportunity to bring together the very best of both authorities’ capabilities, talent and experience to increase the number of adopters across the region. This will help to give children the loving & stable families they deserve, especially in these challenging times.
This is a rare opportunity for a passionate manager who understands our vision for the RAA and is committed to developing the service and maximising the benefits of a dedicated and independent adoption focussed team. This newly formed team will enable us to continue to offer an outstanding quality of service for our key stakeholders by leveraging the experience of our many excellent existing staff with the fresh ideas and different perspectives of our newly appointed adoption workers. The role you and your team will play in improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people living across the very diverse communities we serve cannot be overstated.
We're seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic leader to manage and inspire the service, providing direction, focus and support for the combined provision. You will also be looking to realise the benefits of the Family Safeguarding model in operation across both Authorities by maximising timely decision making and effective parallel planning for children who are unable to remain within their birth families.
Reporting to the Assistant Director this important role provides the right candidate with a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with other RAAs to champion adoption. You will also demonstrate inspiring leadership and contribute to planning and delivery at a local and national level by successfully implementing this new service.
To be considered for this role you must have comprehensive knowledge of Adoption services, ideally some expertise in change management and proven experience of operating at a leadership level.
