Further Information
We’re looking for a part time Recruitment & Retention Advisor, to join our vibrant Recruitment Team working across Cambridgeshire County Council.

Constant innovation and implementation of new ideas will be essential to your success in recruiting to a multitude of different roles across the authority.

You will have strong organisational and administrative skills and be a confident communicator.

Prior experience in recruitment and/or local government would be useful, but is by no means essential. An inquisitive nature, positive ‘can do’ attitude and being solution focused are much more valuable to this role.

You will work with a range of services mainly principally social care, tackling some of the most crucial roles that support our community.

Daily tasks will include:
- Liaising with service managers to arrange for vacancies to be advertised
- Conducting candidate telephone screenings and arranging interviews on behalf of service managers
- Facilitating the interview process (currently virtually)
- Completing compliance checks for successful candidates

You will also have the opportunity to work on a raft of exciting projects and initiatives which will facilitate our objective to be recognised as an employer of choice, where staff aspire to join and choose to remain.

In return you will join a dynamic team who are changing the way recruitment happens in the Council through adopting new ways of working. This is a real opportunity to share your ideas and to make a difference.

With a generous annual leave allowance, a great pension scheme, agile working and a supportive team you will have the opportunity to be part of the change.

The role is offered on a part time permanent basis (18.5 hours per week), working over 5 days per week - start/finish times are flexible. You will be required to work from home initially, but your formal work base will be Shire Hall, Cambridge (moving to Alconbury during the summer of 2021). We always offer flexible working arrangements, but some travel to offices across Cambridgeshire (post pandemic) will be required.

We’re committed to building a culturally diverse workforce and therefore encourage applications from groups that are underrepresented within the council.

We’re proud to be an inclusive and equal opportunities employer, committed to hiring people based on attitude and merit, regardless of gender identity or expression, ethnic origin, nationality, religion or beliefs, sexual orientation, disability status or any other protected characteristic.
