We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Lead Commissioning and Partnerships for Children and Young People and Mental Health to join our dynamic team in Peterborough City Council.

Following the recent separation of the Public Health service from Cambridgeshire County Council, we are looking for a skilled public health strategic commissioner and team leader with demonstratable skills and experience of overseeing the commissioning of major contracts including service design, procurement, contract management, monitoring, evaluation and assurance processes to ensure that we deliver high quality needs-led services for children and young people and support our agenda to improve mental wellbeing and prevent mental illness in our population. This work is a key component of our aim to improve health outcomes reduce health inequalities in the city.

As our new Team Lead Commissioning and Partnerships for Children and Young People and Mental Health, you will report to the Consultant in Public Health for Children and Young People and Mental Health, whilst also working across the directorate. You will also work closely with other internal Council directorates as well as our key system partners, within the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care System, including Cambridgeshire County Council Public Health Team, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Foundation Trust and community and voluntary (VCSE) sector partners and organisations. You will take responsibility for all commissioning intentions and activity relating to children and young people public health services and public mental health.
