Are you a successful Programme Manager who has managed and delivered a range of high-profile projects within the Property/Regeneration sector? Do you have excellent communication skills and a passion for people and places?
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Council’s Growth & Regeneration Team with a critical role in coordinating the delivery of our Town Deal and other regeneration schemes. The Towns Fund is part of the government’s plan for levelling up the UK economy. The overarching aims of the Towns Fund are to drive the sustainable economic regeneration of towns to deliver long term economic and productivity growth. Peterborough is a pioneer of the Towns Fund as one of first 7 authorities to secure a Town Deal.
The role sits within the Regeneration Team which has responsibility for regeneration and economic growth, City Centre vision and joint working with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. Operating within this small, highly focused team, the role will also require the successful candidate to take a senior and responsible role within the department and to make a positive contribution to the team and its broader duties. Peterborough is one of the fastest growing cities in the UK and while recent years has seen considerable investment in it as a place to live, work and play we have more to do.
The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of capital regeneration projects with focus on the Towns Fund, Levelling Up Fund and will play a key role in developing future proposals.
We are looking for someone with
• Proven delivery track record of delivering projects/programmes
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of building effective working relationships across a range of stakeholders both public and private
• Experience in procuring and leading consultants and contractors
• Knowledge of construction, public realm, and property projects
• Enthusiastic, have a flexible approach and be a team player
Previous experience of working within a local authority environment would be an advantage.
