As the Professional Development Manager you will take the lead within the Workforce Development Team to co-ordinate and develop the already successful programme for NQSWs during their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment and to build on the established student placement service. A key area will be building the department’s resources of Practice Educators and NQSW assessors as part of the department’s professional development strategy for its social workers. You will also lead on ensuring the Learning and Development programme, including opportunities for post-graduate study, is effective in supporting sound but innovative practice by social workers and managers to improve the outcomes for children. You must be registered as a social worker with the HCPC and hold a Practice Educator or other relevant post-graduate award.
