We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated team member with demonstrable experience in all aspects of development control and leadership skills .
Duties will include: working closely with the team manager to mentor the team in all aspects of development control providing highway advice on statutory consultations for planning applications and pre-planning applications including assessment of transportation assessments and requests for highway infrastructure as well as negotiating for infrastructure under S106 of the Town & Country Planning Act 1980; preparing statements of evidence in respect of transportation aspects of planning appeals as well as attending planning inquiries; undertaking detailed technical assessment of development related highway works (under S38 & S278 of the Highways Act 1980) and site inspections through to adoption. You will take a lead role on major developments and take a proactive approach to help deliver our Growth Agenda.
You must have the ability to analyse issues and identify options, be computer literate with the ability to adapt to various software packages, have demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills, able to work under pressure, use own initiative and most importantly, be able to work as a member of a team.
