We are looking for 2 part time Portage Visitor/Officers to join our team!
These roles are part time - 22 hours per week 52 weeks per year.
This is a great opportunity to work as a member of the Early Years SEND Specialist and Portage Service, delivering the ‘Portage model’ of support to pre-school children with complex needs and disabilities, in partnership with their families/carers.
The home visitor/Officer would be expected to have a relevant child development qualification and preferably have experience working with children with SEND.
The home visitor/Officer would join a small innovative, inspiring and experienced multi-disciplinary team, regularly supporting families. You would hold an individual caseload of pre-school children.
The home visitor/Officer would offer the family regular contact using a teaching programme which follows ‘structured teaching’, ‘child led play’ and ‘family focus’- elements of the Portage model of support.
The home visitor/Officer would also work closely with other agencies and services which would include the Heath visiting teams, Child development services and Early year’s team.
