Do you have an analytical approach to work with a high attention to detail, excel at working to deadlines and an ability to work within national guidelines to ensure permits are granted appropriately?

Are you able to demonstrate:
• Knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 the Traffic
Management Act 2004 and the National Conditions for Permit Schemes
• An ability to manage your workload in a timely and accurate manner
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills
• An ability to work as part of team and contribute and assist other officers in
their duties
• Experience in using computer applications such as Microsoft or Google
products
• An ability to follow processes and make decisions

The successful candidate will be joining the Streetworks Team who are responsible for the co-ordination of permits. A varied and challenging role including:
• consistent and effective communication with utility companies regarding
permit refusals, permit directions and variations
• building and maintaining effective working relationships with all utilities
• determining permit conditions in line with the HAUC England Operational
Guidance for Permit Schemes
• assisting with the processing of Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders and
licenses
• maintaining precise and accurate and up to date records in line with permit
procedures, NRSWA and TMA legislation
• supporting the process for ensuring utility companies fees and fines are set,
invoiced and paid accordingly
