A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Organisational Learning & Development Manager to join our HR team to lead on the organisation’s learning & development.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and strategic Organisational Learning & Development Manager to join Peterborough City Council’s HR team. You will be driven and enjoy challenging the status quo and developing Organisational Learning & Development solutions to enable the council to meet the significant changes that lie ahead. As well as shaping and delivering a learning culture, talent management and leadership development will also fall into your remit and it will be your innovative concepts and actions that help us be successful.

The successful candidate will thrive working in an autonomous role, whilst demonstrating clear evidence of being self-motivated and creative in delivering solutions which are fit for purpose. You will have the scope to get involved in every element of delivering OD activities, working cohesively with key stakeholders and external organisations. You will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, gained in an OD environment. Ideally backed up by a level 7 qualification (or equivalent) in Organisational Learning and Development, you will be able to analyse and interpret information to identify needs and you will have experience of balancing a variety of projects simultaneously. In addition to proven experience, you will also be experienced as a facilitator and coach.

The Organisational Learning & Development Manager reports to the Assistant Director HR & Development and will provide a specialist service to the business that addresses the present needs of the organisation but also has a progressive forward thinking approach. The role will work closely alongside the HR Manager Business Relations, Senior HR Policy & Reward Advisor and Internal Communications as a key stakeholder on real-time projects and initiatives that progress us on our journey.
