You will operationally manage and lead the older people’s day service to provide a safe, high quality, responsive day support service to older people, older people with dementia and other complex needs - including the provision of physical and emotional support and personal care.

Providing effective management, oversight and supervision of the older people’s day service team, ensuring that the service is:
? Safe - in respect of clients, staff, buildings, grounds, vehicles, including particular attention to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, infection control practices, medication policy, food safety, moving and handling, dealing with clients’ challenging behaviour, and managing the risk of clients with dementia leaving the premises unescorted.
? Delivered in a friendly, dignified, kind and supportive way
? Flexible and responsive to changing circumstances and client needs – encouraging and maximising clients’ independence and empowering them to have choice and control over their lives & their actions
? Deliver personal care sensitively, with dignity and in accordance with client’s preferred wishes in least restrictive way possible
