All about the role 

As a Newly Qualified Social Worker undertaking your ASYE in Peterborough , you will receive a comprehensive introduction to the social work profession, we will help you develop your experience, skills, and confidence as a practitioner who can rise to the challenges of the social work role, meet professional standards of practice, and build purposeful and positive relationships with children and families in need of support.
 
All about our Social Work Academy
  • Dedicated support from the Social Work Academy within the Centre for Professional Excellence (CfPE) throughout your ASYE.              
  • Spend the first 6 months based within the case holding Social Work Academy, progressing through to the completion of your ASYE within your Social Work Team with the continued support and guidance of the Social Work Academy.
  • Extensive training, supervision, and development opportunities
  • A structured induction with opportunities to shadow experienced colleagues
  • A protected caseload and regular reflective supervision
  • A Personal Development Plan tailored to your learning aspirations
  • A supportive team environment and ongoing opportunities for growth and development
  • An early career progression scheme beyond the ASYE programme with opportunities to progress to Senior Social Worker grade once the necessary experience has been demonstrated.

  • A starting salary of £37,938 and on successful completion of your ASYE you will be move to Grade 10 with a starting salary of £38,626
