Further Information
MASH provides a safeguarding triage function and as an MASH Social Worker, you will
be responsible for triaging concerns, based on the level of risk as well as holding your own s42 enquires.

You will need to provide a response, which is preventative, by signposting to relevant
organisations or conduct (or instruct others to conduct) enquiries under section 42 of
the Care Act.

MASH works closely with its partner agencies, in the spirit of the Care Act, to share
information with the aim of providing the highest quality of response to adults at risk.
MASH is committed to making safeguarding personal and this involves engaging with
the adult at risk, or their advocate, to agree a way forward which follows the six key
principles of s42 enquires under the Care Act.

The team is co-located, with the police, at Chord Park, Godmanchester and you will be
expected to undertake advanced vetting for this position.

The person we are looking for will:

· Be a registered social worker and have completed their AYSE
· Have a willingness to develop an in-depth knowledge of the Care Act and be able to apply it
in practice.

If you would like to discuss the role in more detail please contact Julie Rivett, Adult MASH Manager on 01354 750111 (Julie.Rivett@Cambridgeshire.gov.uk)

Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers
to share this commitment.
