As the Mockingbird Liaison Worker, you will be part of an innovative and exciting new venture, at the heart of the fostering service’s transformation journey in Peterborough City Council.
This is a fixed term post for 2 years in the first instance and is a part time role of 18.5 hours
You will operate as the key liaison person between the Mockingbird hub foster carer and the fostering service; offering consistent and high-quality support to the Mockingbird hub foster carer to enable them to lead and give guidance and support to the constellation (group) of foster families and children in care, which make up their hub.
This role will require someone with strong people skills, someone who can get on with people all ages, who can problem solve, keep a calm head in ever changing and sometimes emotionally charged situations, offer support and guidance and who can work independently and also loves being part of a team.
You will also need to be able to keep accurate records and data which you’ll present in reports and verbally, so an ability to write well and feel comfortable presenting to groups of people, is important.
Experience of fostering is preferred, and you will certainly need to show your confidence at working with groups of people to offer support and motivation.
