Further Information
You will be responsible for regenerating Peterborough Market by way of introducing new businesses and reviewing the physical layout to create a more user friendly space for both traders and customers.
You will also be responsible for managing the sustainable economic growth of Peterborough Market in accordance with regulations, council policies, trader contracts and best value procedures.
Key Skills:
- Strategically develop Peterborough Market by introducing new sustainable businesses to the market. Maximise the profitability of the market for both the Council and the businesses that exist within.
- Manage the overall financial performance of the market by preparing, analysing, and reconciling financial reports; determining trends and areas of opportunity; advising on cost control methods; and resolving budgetary issues.
- Promote a customer-focused environment - creating and maintaining an environment that provides customers with desired products, services and experiences. Develop and implement initiatives, practices, and plans to capitalise on customer-focused growth and improvement opportunities.
- Ensuring health & safety standards are met and adhered to.
- Create and implement a business plan for the market that addresses the long term profitability for both the traders and the Council.
