Westcombe Engineering employs disabled employees in their workshop to manufacture a range of high quality components in a variety of metals. Due to significant business growth we are looking for a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineering Projects Leader to join the team, and take responsibility for the New Product Introduction. Key requirements are:

• Ability to set and programme CNC lathes and CNC milling machines.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in work group, as well as employees in other units, customers, and suppliers.
• Ability to design and manufacture the jigs and fixtures required to hold and machine the various range of components.
• Experience of change management and process engineering.
• Ability to contribute to the process of preparing quotations and estimates to customer specifications.
• Ability to communicate information of a technical nature in written and oral forms to a wide range of audiences.
• Ability to motivate staff and involve them in the processes of change and improving the level of service provided to customers.
• Ability to analyse and evaluate information from a range of sources and determine and advise on an appropriate course of action that will be in the best interests of the customer and the business.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage conflicting pressures so that deadlines are achieved.
• Ability to build confident and effective relationships with team members, in addition to customers and suppliers, through a proactive and accessible leadership and can do style.
• Experience in the use of CADCAM software (Solid Works, One CNC and or CamWorks)
IT and Systems knowledge
