Westcombe Engineering is a social enterprise, which means that any profit made is reinvested back into the business and the local economy. Due to continued business growth we are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our existing team.
Key requirements are:
Role Purpose:
• Reporting directly into the Manufacturing Operations Manager and Manufacturing Leaders, the Manufacturing Engineer will assist in trouble-shooting, initial review and set up of both existing and new product, ensuring maximum utilization of CNC machining whilst achieving fastest possible cycle times are achieved, without sacrificing on quality, increasing the departments efficiencies and overall output.
• Assist the Manufacturing Operations Manager and Manufacturing Leaders with the allocation work duties for the disabled workforce thereby ensuring the workshop is run efficiently, effectively, economically, to high safety standards and that production targets are achieved through effective utilisation of each team member.
• Assist the Manufacturing Operations Manager and Manufacturing Leaders with providing technical and engineering support to the manufacturing team, in the setting and operation of CNC machines including live tooling, sub spindle and 4 and 5 axis operations.
