Clare Lodge is a 16 bedded all female secure childrens home in Glinton, Peterborough.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced lead residential child care worker to join our expanding service.
The successful applicant will have experience of working with young people in a residential setting for at least 3 years. You will understand the key-worker role, be able to manage challenging behaviour and be able to quickly and calmly manage risk. You should have experience of supervising staff and leading in the home where needed in conjunction with the duty manager.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate good child care practice,with resilience, flexibility and stamina. Good interpersonal skills are vital as interactions with a range of professionals, parents and colleagues will also be necessary.
The successful candidate will have the NVQ 3 in Childcare and either have or be willing to undertake Diploma 5 Children and Young people leadership/management qualification within 2 years.
