This specialist role will develop an internal communications strategy aligned with the council’s vision, priorities and objectives and deliver a plan that informs, involves and engages employees, councillors and partners.
The Internal Communications & Employee Engagement Manager will regularly measure the effectiveness and impact of internal communications activity and understand the needs of our diverse audience groups, by working with the business to develop communications plans to meet specific needs.
Ability to effectively advise senior management and line managers on internal communications strategy and planning is paramount - and to understand the links between internal communication and the impact on employee engagement and motivation.
The post holder should understand the channels, tools and technology to deliver effective internal communication with the right messages to the right audience and maintaining knowledge of trends in technology and digital communications.
