Further information

Peterborough City Council is looking to recruit Integration Partnership Programme Manager for a two-year fixed term post to support the recently launched Government’s Green Paper on Integration Strategy.

The city council is working with Government and other local and national partners, to test a range of projects and solutions to help make Peterborough an inclusive, welcoming city where our communities are safe, cohesive and healthy.

Peterborough is one of only five localities working with the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government as “local integration areas”, a nationally significant programme informing the Government’s integration strategy. We are looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced

You will coordinate the work, manage the partnership processes and have oversight of a suite of programmes that will promote integration, reduce inequalities and change ways of working. You will develop strong and effective relationships with Government and across the senior level partnership which includes community and faith groups, the public, private and voluntary sectors. In addition, you will ensure individually managed projects funded through the £1.2m Controlling Migration Fund are linked into the integration programme and are on track to achieve their outcomes. You will play a key link role in the Inclusive Cities programme, in which Peterborough is also one of only five partners nationally.

This post, which is based in the Communities and Safety Directorate of Peterborough City Council, is a genuinely exciting opportunity for someone capable of working at a fast pace, able to manage detail as well as “see the big picture”, and who can communicate confidently with people at every level.
