We are looking for a strong, confident communicator who possesses enthusiasm, motivation and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for coordinating Peterborough City Council’s Independent Visitor Service including recruitment, training and supporting volunteers. You will also work with children, young people and families to support them to feedback views and experiences on services.
Ideally you will have a track record in building strong and supportive relationships with children and dealing with sensitive issues tactfully. You will have knowledge and experience of the voluntary sector and an understanding of child protection and safeguarding. You will also need to have good IT, organisational skills and problem-solving skills. Experience of working with children and the ability to present training material and promote the service is essential. Although you will operate at a high level of autonomy, it is essential that you work with a team approach, with the ability to travel and to work flexibly when needed.
