An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Housing Needs team to support homeless households and those threatened with homelessness to find alternative accommodation through the use of private rented sector accommodation.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about resolving homelessness to join our busy Housing Needs service.
You will be responsible for:
- Procuring accommodation in the private rented sector.
- Liaising with private sector landlords to encourage them to offer accommodation to households in need.
- Promoting a Landlord Incentive Scheme.
- Negotiating with landlords and tenants.
- Offering support to tenants threatened with homelessness.`
Ideally you will have a detailed knowledge of the private rented sector and homelessness. Excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work as a member of a busy team. You will also have experience of working with challenging clients with multiple needs and be able to work effectively when under pressure.
