An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Housing Needs team to support homeless
households and those threatened with homelessness to find alternative accommodation
through the use of the private rented sector.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about helping people and
resolving homelessness to join our busy Housing Needs service.
You will be responsible for:
? Procuring accomodation in the private rented sector.
? Liaising with private sector landlords to encourage them to offer accommodation to
households in need.
? Establishing and promoting a Landlord Incentive Scheme.
? Becoming an active member of the established Housing Supply Group.
? Managing the day to day activities of two Housing Solutions Officers dedicated to
working with private rented sector landlords.
Ideally you will have a detailed knowledge of the private rented sector and homelessness.
Excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work as a member of a
busy team. You will also have experience of working with challenging clients with multiple
needs.
