We are looking for applicants who are passionate about working with young people who have offended or are at risk of offending. The role requires you to support young people to access a range of activities aimed at improving their opportunities, life skills and decision making and helping to divert them from the risk of further offending. Some young people will be on statutory court orders or bail support packages and the role will require a robust and creative individual, highly skilled in engaging with young people and their families.

The Youth Offending Team sits within the wider Targeted Youth Support Service which enables a wide range of multi-disciplinary staff to use their specialist skills and knowledge to work with young people aged 10-18 years. You will be working with social workers, police, mental health workers, probation, young people’s workers to name but a few, with a focus on diverting young people from offending, exploitation, substance misuse, homelessness and many other issues.

The successful candidate will be subject to a DBS check at an advanced level
