As Health Protection Responsibilities are transferred to Local Authorities we are seeking motivated and enthusiastic people to strengthen this specialist function within our Public Health Team. This is an interesting and important time to be part of our journey as we work hard to control and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team working across a number of outbreak settings contributing to the day to day provision of the health protection function, including the management of infectious and environmental hazards and contributing to the response to major incidents.
It is essential that you are either a Registered Healthcare Professional or Environmental Health Practitioner, with post registration experience as a practitioner in a related field. You will be a good communicator, able to work as part of a team and have excellent organisational skills.
The core working hours are 9 to 5, Monday to Friday; during our response to COVID-19 we are working extended hours including weekends and/or an on-call rota. This is subject to change and will be discussed further at the time of interview.
