Are you looking to make a change and want to work in an innovative local authority? If so, then this is the position for you. An exciting opportunity has arisen to fill the role of Head of Service for Targeted Support working across Peterborough

Peterborough City Council is about to move in a new direction on service delivery after a period of joint working with Cambridgeshire County Council and there are exhilarating challenges ahead A new highly experienced Director of Children’s Services is due to join us shortly, so use this opportunity to become a member of a new and exciting leadership team.

As Head of Service you will be working to the Strong Families Strong Communities Strategy to deliver against our key priorities in relation to building strong families; learning and participation; vulnerable and at-risk adolescents; and physical and mental health. This is an innovative new model for children and young people from 0-19, combining national programmes such as Supporting Families, Reducing Parental Conflict and Family Hubs with local initiatives around adolescent mental health and contextual safeguarding.
