Further Information
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to fill the role of the Head of Family Safeguarding at Peterborough City Council.

Peterborough is recognised nationally for its innovation and achieved Good across all areas in its recent ILACS Inspection. It was particularly recognised for its work around Child in Need, Child Protection and court work, which is all part of our national Innovation Fund project Family Safeguarding. Inspectors said: “multi-disciplinary family safeguarding teams are having some early impact.. Children’s circumstances are improving through timely, intensive support provided for parents whose capacity for change is carefully tracked through multi professional supervision”. Ofsted also affirmed that workers have “time to spend with children” and that their “lived experiences are at the centre of practice”.

As the new Head of Service, you will be responsible for developing this great start and fully embedding this multi-disciplinary motivational interviewing based model. You will have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced senior and frontline management team, and bring your skills and experience to continue our journey to Outstanding.

If you have significant operational experience, great people management skills, and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children, we would love to hear from you.
