Further Information
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Public Health Commissioning and Service Development to join our dynamic team at Peterborough City Council. As one of the fastest-growing areas in the UK, Peterborough boasts a vibrant community and a forward-thinking environment. In 2023, we were recognised as a most improved council, marking our commitment to continuous progress.

Following the recent separation of the Public Health service from Cambridgeshire County Council, we are looking for a skilled public health leader with experience of overseeing monitoring and assurance processes to help lead and shape our commissioning work in Peterborough, ensuring that we deliver high quality services that meet the needs of our population whilst improving health outcomes. This work is a key component of our aim to reduce health inequalities in the city.

As our new Head of Public Health Commissioning and Service Development, you will report to the Consultant in Public Health for Health and Behaviours, whilst also working across the directorate. You will also work closely with other internal Council directorates as well as our key system partners, particularly the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care Board and North Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Care Partnership.

If you are passionate about meeting the unique health challenges of Peterborough while capitalising on emerging opportunities, we invite you to embark on this exciting journey with us.
